MENTOR Rhode Island and MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership are working hard to assist mentoring organizations as they try to navigate the challenges with mentoring during the COVID-19 pandemic. MENTOR has set up a web-page of resources including guidelines for virtual mentoring and information about an e-mentoring platform that is suitable for mentees who are at least 13 years old.
For the school-based mentoring programs that MENTOR Rhode Island coordinates directly, we are continuing to work with school districts to determine the best way to get mentors and mentees connected during this time of social distancing. We are also working to ensure that once face-to-face meetings can resume mentoring pairs are prepared to deal with any issues that have developed during their time apart. We’ll get through this together!!!
