As we celebrate the new year, we at MENTOR RI are also celebrating National Mentoring Month. Join us as we celebrate the power of relationships, share our deep gratitude for mentors, and spark interest in mentoring across our state. Below you’ll find a list of days this month that mark either a nationwide or worldwide recognition of mentoring. January 6: I am a Mentor Day Why did you choose to become a mentor? What has the experience taught you? Celebrate I Am a Mentor Day today by sharing your story and inspiring others to do the same. Post your story on social media and tag MENTOR RI to amplify the stories of mentors.

January 17: International Day of Mentoring Around the world, Mentoring Amplifies support systems that uplift youth & strengthen communities. On International Mentoring Day, share your mentoring story & let us know why you joined the movement.

January 17: Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service On this day, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by continuing his fight for a just and equitable world. By building relationships and communities where people feel heard and valued, Mentoring Amplifies belonging and respect.

January 27: Thank Your Mentor Day On Thank Your Mentor Day, call out that person that made a difference in your life. Not only will your gratitude mean so much to the mentors in your life, it will show others the power of relationships to build community and belonging.
