The LMTW Mentor Program is a 3 phase, community based one-to-one mentoring program. Working in conjunction with the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence and supported by a grant from the United Way of Rhode Island, each 10-month class of program participants receive instruction in many aspects of workforce training and other skills and services that can help them improve their employability. They are paired with a volunteer Mentor from a local business who can help guide them through the self-improvement they need to become productive members of the workforce. Each mentee is also placed in an internship to gain real-world work experience.
