Jeanine Achin, President and CEO of MENTOR RI started in April 2024 and brought 17 years of professional leadership in nonprofit experience with her. Astute in collaboration, providing strategic direction, and sustaining strong relations with existing and potential donors, community partners, and clients, she has demonstrated the ability to excel at overseeing fiscal management, strategizing, forecasting financial trends, improving operating performance, leading teams, and steering fundraising efforts. She excels at expanding inclusion efforts and boosting staff satisfaction scores. She worked for 30 years in the YMCA world and is especially passionate about youth development. Presently she is spearheading MENTOR RI’s strategic planning in partnership with local stakeholders to guide the plan, benchmarks, and outcomes. She oversees fund development and implements the marketing and communications plan leading to organizational growth. An advocate for youth, she is committed to building public awareness of the need and benefits of mentoring and mobilizing leaders for support of youth mentoring.
She has a BS in Health, Recreation, and Physical Education as well as a MS in Human Services from Springfield College. She is a Mindvalley certified Business Coach and Consultant and holds a certification in Juvenile Justice and Youth Development from Rutgers University. She leads the PCF HEZ Youth Engagement Task Force and is a member of the RI Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative.
Jeanine lives on a small farm with her husband, two dogs, two cats, and two horses. She is a fitness buff and loves to swim, ride, and ski.

Christopher Margadonna

Christopher Margadonna is Senior Director of Training and Program Development for MENTOR Rhode Island. He is responsible for coordinating all the technical assistance we provide in the state. Christopher is a dynamic trainer. He is considered a master trainer for the nation and a trainer of trainers. The Senior Director of Training and Program Development is responsible for advising and making recommendations relative to the development, implementation, interpretation and management of policies, procedures and programs designed to bring Mentoring to scale in Rhode Island. In his role, Christopher provides support to the Program Coordinators in the network programs statewide, and assists in providing leadership, quality standards and strategic direction to these agencies. He excels at training and facilitation and curriculum design. He has a Master’s degree from Rhode Island College with a concentration in Performance Pedagogy. He has been employed at MENTOR RI since 2016. In his free time, he is the Board President of The Community Players, a local community theatre located in Pawtucket RI.

Sandy Letourneau

Mentor Program Director
Sandy Letourneau is the Director of the Warwick Mentoring Program. She oversees all aspects of the program including collaborating with Warwick Public Schools, the recruitment, screening, and training of mentors, and the evaluation of the program’s success. Sandy excels at making amazing matches between mentors and mentees and serving the needs of both as they move through their time in the program, ensuring the experience is a positive one.
Sandy has a BS in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College. Sandy joined MENTOR Rhode Island in January of 2023 after two decades of working with youth as a childcare provider, an educator, and a program administrator.
When Sandy isn’t in the Warwick Public Schools, she can be found spending time with her husband, her two daughters, and her three dogs, most often by the ocean.

Marisol Feliciano

Director of Access, Innovation & Equity
Marisol Feliciano, Chief Programs and Partnerships Director, has served as a Violence and Injury Preventionist for over two decades. Having worked in the nonprofit sector since 2000 her work transitioned to working in the Connecticut healthcare system for nearly fifteen years. As an educator she has been fortunate to share how to create injury prevention programming in both hospital-based and/or community settings statewide, regionally, and nationally. For Marisol, it has been a privilege to work, shape, guide, and mentor many in the field of Violence and Injury prevention. It is with great enthusiasm she takes years of work in the field of prevention into the world of mentoring. She has been on staff since 2022. She is skilled at program management and has a strong ability to create and implement special projects and evidence-based practices specifically targeting diverse socio-economic underrepresented communities. A native of Puerto Rico, who comes from humble beginnings and a large family, she is not only Bilingual and a Qualified Medical Interpreter but truly knows the power of advocacy, remaining resilient and hard working. She studied Criminal Justice and Sociology at the University of Connecticut and later at Quinnipiac University. Such skills have led her to create, implement and manage various comprehensive community outreach educational injury prevention programs from Child Passenger Safety to Teen Safe Driving, Violence Prevention, Fall Prevention and Teen Mentoring Programs.

Cathy Collins is a part-time Executive Assistant at MENTOR Rhode Island. Cathy was a mentor for more than 10 years with MENTOR Rhode Island, so it just made sense that upon retiring from a 32-year career with the Department of Human Services, Office of Child Support Services, she took a part-time position supporting our team. She is very passionate about the program and has seen first-hand the rewards of mentoring, having had the same mentee from first grade, through middle school, graduate high school and go on to college. She continues to mentor today. Cathy has a BA in General Studies from Providence College. She joined MENTOR Rhode Island in 2016.

Kyle Peterson

Kyle is a seasoned leader in the accounting industry with a focus on complex accounting issues, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions, primarily within the life science and emerging growth company industries. With 20+ years of experience, Kyle has experience advising clients on key financial operating decisions and assisting clients structuring the accounting organization, including managing growth through public company readiness procedures. Kyle has significant experience assisting clients in raising money in public and private financings, including significant initial public offering experience through leadership on 20+ go-public transactions. Kyle is a founding partner of Monomoy Advisors, which formed in 2021, and leads the accounting advisory group. Prior to Monomoy, Kyle spent over 17 years at Ernst & Young, ultimately serving as managing director in the life science assurance practice. Client experience includes privately-owned and public traded entities in multiple sectors, including life science, technology, and manufacturing, and in all stages of development, from start-up entities through large multi-national publicly traded entities. Through his experience, Kyle has developed an in-depth understanding of various business and accounting issues. Kyle specializes in license and collaboration arrangements, commercial pharmaceutical revenue, debt and equity financings, external financial reporting, audit readiness, and public offerings. This experience has resulted in knowledge of working with clients through complex arrangements. Kyle also has significant experience in assisting clients with establishing internal control environments, growing the internal control structure with the development of the Company, and assisting clients with remediation of identified control deficiencies.
Kyle received his Bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he graduated as the valedictorian in the Accounting and Sociology Departments. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.
Kyle firmly believes that mentoring empowers people to succeed and personally owes his success to multiple mentors. Kyle has served as a director for Mentor Rhode Island since 2020 and the board chair since 2025.

Chris has a passion for driving meaningful outcomes for clients and businesses by leveraging

As a management consultant, Chris partners with leading financial services firms to scale private
banking and wealth management businesses through disciplined practice management, emerging
technology, and relentless client-first innovation. He helps executive teams sharpen strategic
focus, drive prioritization, and accelerate execution—combining vision with operational
discipline to deliver tangible business results and elevated client experiences.
Prior to consulting, Chris worked at Fidelity Investments as Head of Financial Planning and
Investment Advice Product Development, leading a global team of 250+ across business
strategy, digital design, risk, and operations. Under his leadership, platforms like FullView® and
the Planning and Guidance Center became industry-leading solutions, delivering personalized,
technology-enabled planning to nearly 10 million clients annually.
Earlier in his Fidelity career, as Chief Operating Officer for Private Wealth Management in 2012,
Chris led the development and launch of Fidelity’s Private Wealth Management®
offering—integrating financial planning, investment management, personal trust services, and
relationship management for clients with assets exceeding $10 million. In 2008, he launched
Fidelity Viewpoints®, broadening access to financial planning insights and market commentary
for millions of clients and workplace participants. His foundation includes a decade in sales and
leadership within the discretionary investment advisory space, grounding his perspective in
advisor-client engagement realities.
Chris holds a B.A. in Economics from Villanova University, an MBA from Boston University,
and maintains CFP® and CPWA® certifications. He serves on the Board of Mentor Rhode Island
and is a father of three adult children who enjoys outdoor activities including running, hiking,
golfing, and boating.

Melissa Labrecque is the AVP & Director of Creative Services at Amica Mutual Insurance Company, where she leads creative strategy and execution within the Marketing, Communications & Growth organization. With over 25 years of end‑to‑end creative experience she brings hands‑on expertise across concepting, brand development, and production.
With a blend of strategic insight and creative leadership, she oversees brand expression, visual storytelling, and cross‑channel creative development that supports enterprise-wide initiatives.
Based in Lincoln, Rhode Island, Melissa partners closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and cross‑functional collaborators to elevate Amica’s brand presence and support its business objectives.
