Meet todd and Liam

inspiring the next generation

In May 2023, Liam’s then 4th grade teacher recognized that Liam could benefit from an adult male role model and requested a mentor for him. At the time, Todd, a Warwick EMT, had just become a mentor in the Warwick Program. Todd, who now has adult sons, knew the importance of being there for a young male student.

Todd and Liam were matched and instantly connected. At their first initial meeting, Todd excitedly showed Liam all around a rescue, and Liam was thrilled to learn that Todd would be his mentor! Todd and Liam have now been matched for two years, and it is obvious when watching them interact that they are truly good friends and enjoy being together. Todd will be following Liam up to middle school as his mentor again this year, being there for him as he transitions to the 6th grade!

“My son has grown tremendously, and Todd has definitely had a hand in that. He always shows up. He is so consistent. He is so nurturing and kind. He has taught my son more independence and how to deal with certain situations with friends. And to tie his shoes! Our world is so much better because of Todd being in it. We are forever grateful.”
